Fatherless The Empowerment Mall is pleased to introduce "Fatherless" by D.E. Brown The African American community is the leading race in fatherless children. Where up to 70% of our children do not have their fathers in the household or involved in their lives, this is an alarming statistic. Part of the statistic that is not being addressed is the percentage of fathers that have been fighting feverishly to be a part of their children’s lives by seeking custody or visitation. In so many instances once visitations are awarded so many fathers can’t establish a relationship and are being denied the right of having an active viable role that the children need. This problem is not being addressed from the standpoint of the fathers that are burnt out from fighting so hard with Ex-Wives/Ex Girlfriends because of a woman scorned. I wrote this book titled Fatherless to inspire estranged fathers to start a relationship with their children and for the fathers who have given up to get back in the fight. Our children need to know that they are worth it. They need to know the truth about what happens. Our children need their fathers as we all do. I would greatly appreciate it if you would take the time to read my personal story, my fight in trying to get custody and visitation of my oldest daughter who was sexually molested at the age of five. This tragic event that I experienced became the birth of my ministry. This is not just about me telling my story; this is the commencement of an inspired nationwide movement. I would like to reach out to those of you that have men’s ministries, teen ministries, and youth groups.
